Terry Arnold’s London to Brighton Cycle

In September 2025, Terry Arnold from CEF completed an epic London to Brighton cycle that he will be remembering for years to come!

Terry trained for several months, cycling further and further alongside his friend, Paul, as they prepared to put their fitness and endurance to the test in the 55-mile ride from city to seaside.

Choosing to do this cycle to support the Electrical Industries Charity was a no-brainer for Terry. Having accessed support from the charity before, Terry wanted to make sure he gave back to the charity that supported him through his toughest moments.

“I have personally been a recipient of the EIC’s generous work, so when I decided to take on this challenge, it was a very easy decision for me to attempt to raise some money for charity and which charity to support. I’m hoping that this is only the first of many challenges I take on to raise money for the EIC”, he says.

Terry battled some strong winds on his journey, but despite the challenging weather conditions, Terry pulled through to the finish line, rewarding himself with a much-deserved Five Guys feast after the challenge wrapped up.

“This burger was planned over a month in advance, and it didn’t disappoint. I was well and truly stuffed afterwards!”

Looking back on the experience, Terry is thankful for the incredible amount of support shown to him throughout his fundraising journey.

“A massive thank you for everyone’s overwhelming love, support, encouragement and generosity,” Terry says. “It means the world to me, and I couldn’t have got even this far without it. An extra special thanks to Paul, who rode with me, and to both Klein Tools and CEF Dagenham for their generous sponsorship of the custom jersey for the day. Hopefully it will all go towards raising awareness as well as some much-needed funds for such a fantastic cause and charity, The EIC.”

Terry’s efforts raised a whopping £1,304 for the Electrical Industries Charity.
