The Electrical Industries Charity rely solely on fundraising and appreciate every single supporter; it is because of them we can continue to provide the critical support to those facing life changing circumstances in our industry.

We are passionate about helping people in our industry and know that you are too. Here are some of the ways you can get involved to help us make a difference.

We rely on industry members fundraising for us so we can continue supporting our sector day in, day out. The EIC can also help you to create a donations page on Enthuse, social media campaign and post you an EIC charity bucket. Whether you are whipping up a storm with a bake sale or taking on a sky dive, we want to hear all about it! Contact our fundraising team on fundraising@electricalcharity.org and tell them what you’ve been up to. They can also give you some handy tips, tricks and even more ideas to keep you going as an industry superhero.

The EIC counts on the generous support of individual donors to make a significant impact on our sector. If you are an individual looking to contribute to The EIC, it’s worth noting that personal donations are made post-tax and therefore, they do not require a Gift Aid declaration. However, individuals can still benefit from tax relief through various schemes, such as payroll giving or leaving a legacy to charity in their will.

Your commitment and support as an individual donor play a crucial role in advancing our mission, and we appreciate your dedication to making a meaningful impact in our sector.

We believe in the power of community and collaboration. Join us in making a difference by participating in our exciting events and join us at the industry events. Whether you’re looking to network, learn, or simply have fun, our events offer the perfect opportunity to connect with like-minded professionals while supporting a worthy cause. Explore our upcoming challenges and events and discover how you can be a part of our mission to empower and uplift the electrical industry. Your involvement matters and together, we can electrify change.

Help your industries Charity support more industry members in need by signing up to a Commercial Agreement (CA). CA partnership is focused on the manufactures and electrical wholesalers. The programme is designed by the individual companies where a percentage or a defined value of a service is donated to the EIC. CA is focused on benefitting all parties involved, the Charity gain much needed financial support, a Charity ambassador, and more visibility within the industry.

The Charity Stand Down Hour is an annual donation of just one hour of your salary to the Electrical Industries Charity.

The Charity Stand Down Hour is a really simple way you can make a massive difference for your industry charity. The Charity Stand Down Hour is facilitated through your payroll system. All you have to do is notify your Charity Stand Down Hour coordinator that you wish the donate and they will arrange everything for you. There are no change buckets, or fundraising links all you have to say is ‘I want to take part in the Charity Stand Down Hour’. Your Charity Stand Down Hour donation is deducted from your wage by your payroll team and then donated to the Electrical Industries Charity to support sector colleagues in need.

Why take part?

To support the only charity specifically for you no matter your circumstance. Your hour can provide counselling sessions, modified wheelchairs, hospital transportation or support someone’s mortgage while they get back on their feet. Every year the Electrical Industries Charity support thousands of people who need a hand up to help them get to being their best again. Most importantly, your Charity Stand Down Hour will help the EIC to continue to support the electrical and energy sector for another 100 years.
