Philip, Gary, and Simon Take on the Lakes in a Day Marathon

On 17 September, the IBA’s conference for their members took place at the beautiful Whittlebury Hall in Northampton.  There, a group of brave fundraisers walked across a bed of hot coals (literally!) to raise money to support colleagues in need.

Thankfully, no feet were burnt or singed during this thrilling challenge. Each of the nineteen firewalkers left with their feet hot and unharmed, and feeling a huge sense of accomplishment!

The IBA didn’t stop there, with even more fundraising taking place at the awards dinner. Guests enjoyed a good game of Heads or Tails, with the winner taking home a fantastic prize, presented by the EIC’s very own Patron, Stuart Pearce.

“Whether it’s an electrician who has suffered a debilitating injury or a technician facing unexpected hardships, the charity is there to lend a helping hand. The assistance isn’t only limited to the workers but also extends to their immediate families (living in the same household)”, says the IBA team.

The challenge raised a fantastic £4,287 for the Electrical Industries Charity. We’d like to thank the IBA and their fantastic suppliers and members for taking part in this incredible effort.
