While the Electrical Industries Charity offers support for a range of challenges, we do not provide immediate crisis assistance. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis or are in immediate danger, please call 999.

The EIC are available to help between the hours of 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday. If you require assistance outside of these hours, please consider the below services:

Mental Health

Samaritans

If you would like to speak with someone, call Samaritans on 116 123, open 24/7. Calls are free and confidential.

Shout

Shout is a free, confidential, 24/7 text support service for anyone in the UK who is struggling to cope. Text ‘SHOUT’ to 85258 for free, confidential text support.

Calm

CALM helpline 0800 58 58 58. CALM’s vision is that no one feels like suicide is their only option. But right now, too many people are struggling to see a way forward.

Papyrus

Papyrus offers confidential support for people under 35 who are experiencing thoughts of suicide. Call on 0800 068 4141. You can also text them on 077862 09697.

Food banks offer free food if you’re struggling. Some need a referral; others don’t. They’re run by the Trussell Trust, churches, or community groups.
