Certsure Team Takes a Leap of Faith to Support EIC

On Saturday 24 May, 24 courageous colleagues from Certsure took part in a skydiving challenge, each leaping from 14,000 feet to raise vital funds for the Electrical Industries Charity (EIC). Their aim: to support the industry’s safety net, which has provided practical, emotional, and financial aid to electrical and energy workers for well over a century.

For event organiser Louise Quinn, the fundraiser carried particular significance. “When I was going through a really tough patch, the counselling support from EIC made all the difference,” she explained. “My counsellor went above and beyond to be there when I needed it most. So, taking part in this challenge was my way of giving back to an organisation that has had such a positive impact on me and so many others in our industry.”

Raising Funds and Raising Spirits

Thanks to generous donations from colleagues, clients and industry partners, the Certsure skydivers collectively raised over £10,000 for EIC. These funds will go directly towards services such as:

  • Mental health counselling and peer-support groups
  • Short-term financial grants for essential living costs
  • Wellbeing training courses for teams and workplaces
  • Family and bereavement support for those who have lost loved ones in the industry

“We are overwhelmed by the Certsure team’s bravery and generosity,” said Kate Adamczyk, EIC’s Director of Fundraising. “Every donation, every jump, makes a real difference to people facing life’s toughest challenges in our sector. We cannot thank them enough.”
