This Mental Health Awareness Week, Electrical Industries Charity want to start the conversation and get our industry talking about mental health and what it means to us. While people are becoming more open in their discussion about mental health we’re still not quite there. We’re used to telling everyone ‘we’re alright’ and for a lot of us we may feel anxious about asking colleagues, friends or even family how they really are.

EIC want to encourage everyone to Take 10 Together, an idea which was originally launched by Mental Health First Aid England in 2016.Take 10 Together is essentially encouraging all of us to have a meaningful conversation with someone about their mental health. To kickstart the Take 10 Together conversation we have launched our first ever podcast!

In the Electrical Industries Charity Take 10 Together podcast we invite therapist Jenny Whitehead to discuss why taking 10 is so important with Melaina Leary and Helen Ramage from the Charity. They'll shed some light on how easy it is to have a meaningful conversation about mental health and give some tips to start these open conversations.

The Electrical Industries Charity podcast proudly supports Mental Health Awareness Week and wants to encourage all industry members to take the time to look after their mental health. If you like the Charity podcast please share on social platforms tagging @electricalcharity
