Booking terms for Training and Events
Terms and Conditions for The Electrical Industries Charity Limited or The Electrical Industries Trading Company Limited in relation to Event/Training Bookings
The following terms and conditions apply to all event/training bookings:
1. Non-attendance
In the event of non-attendance you will be liable for the full cost of the place.
2. Cancellation
You may cancel a sponsorship/ticketing arrangement and obtain a full refund for the sums paid in respect of the cancelled element. In the event of a cancellation, you shall be immediately liable to pay a compensation fee. The compensation fee shall be calculated depending upon the amount of notice that we have received from you as set out in the table below:
3. Sponsorship
Within 20 weeks of the event, 50% of the booking cost will apply.
Within 16 weeks of the event, 100% of the booking cost will apply.
4. Tickets/Team Entry
Within 16 weeks of the event, 50% of the booking cost will apply.
Within 10 weeks of the event, 85% of the booking cost will apply.
Within 6 weeks of the event, 100% of the booking cost will apply.
We shall not be liable to you and we reserve the right to defer the date of an event or to cancel an event or reduce the volume of ticketing or sponsorship opportunities ordered by you if we are prevented or hindered from or delayed in the carrying on of our business due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control including act of God, actions of third parties (including hackers, suppliers, governments or supra-national authorities), insurrection, riot, civil commotion, war, hostilities, warlike operations, national emergencies, terrorism, piracy, arrests, restraints or detainments of any competent authority, strikes or combinations or lock-out of workmen, epidemic, fire, explosion, storm, flood, drought, earthquake, adverse weather conditions, natural disaster, accident, mechanical breakdown, third party software, failure or problems with public utility supplies (including electrical, telecoms or general Internet failure), shortage of or inability to obtain materials, failure of computer equipment, failures or delays of sources from which information or data is obtained) (“Event of Force Majeure”), regardless of whether the circumstances in question could have been foreseen.
In the Event of Force Majeure, we shall have no liability to you and accordingly we shall have no obligation to refund to you the price of the sponsorship opportunities or tickets purchased.
5. Payment Terms
Payment for all events are immediate payment terms. Where payment has not been made by the time of the event, the place will be cancelled but the full booking cost will remain due.
6. Photography
The Electrical Industries Charity Limited or The Electrical Industries Trading Company Limited may arrange for photographs and/or video footage to be taken at events and used for promotional purposes. This may include printed documents or media, editorial coverage, advertising press and use on the internet. By submitting registration details, Delegates agree to their image being used in this manner. If Delegates wish to revoke this consent, please contact The Electrical Industries Charity Limited or The Electrical Industries Trading Company Limited ’s events team:

7. Data Protection
By submitting registration details, Delegates agree to the following:
- The Electrical Industries Charity Limited or The Electrical Industries Trading Company Limited can hold Delegate details on their database
- The Electrical Industries Charity Limited or The Electrical Industries Trading Company Limited and third party companies associated with the event can contact Delegates as required for the organisation and administration of the event. Data will not be shared with any other third party
- The name and company of attendees will be placed on the attendee list for each event. This list may be provided to all delegates for them to see who is at the event for the purpose of networking and meetings
