A Fond Farewell to Jess Vailima
Celebrating Jess Vailima’s eight years of dedicated service to the Electrical Industries Charity

After eight years of dedicated service, Jess Vailima has stepped away from her role as Managing Director of the Electrical Industries Charity.
Since joining the charity in 2018 and taking the helm as Managing Director in 2023, Jess has been a driving force behind the Electrical Industries Charity’s success and growth. Her dedication to strengthening and expanding engagement across the industry through training, events and support has left a lasting impact.
Jess’ leadership played a pivotal role in the success of the Charity’s landmark 120th anniversary year. At the heart of the celebrations was an ambitious goal: to raise an additional £120,000 to support the charity’s vital work. Through determination, creativity and her ability to inspire others, Jess helped turn that ambition into reality.
A key part of the anniversary campaign was the “Join Jess” challenge series, which saw Jess lead supporters through four fundraising challenges across each of the UK’s four capital cities. The initiative brought together individuals from across the electrical and energy sectors, creating opportunities for colleagues, supporters, and industry partners to connect while raising funds for an important cause. From start to finish, Jess was at the forefront of the campaign, motivating participants and championing fundraising efforts.
Jess played an instrumental role in driving the charity’s growth, visibility, and long-term sustainability. One of her most significant achievements was the expansion of the charity’s volunteer network, helping to build a passionate and committed community of individuals dedicated to supporting our mission. Under her leadership, the volunteer base grew substantially, creating a stronger presence across the country and enabling the charity to reach and support more people than ever before.
Perhaps most importantly, her leadership helped guide the charity through a period of transformation and progress. She brought vision, determination, and a deep understanding of the needs of the community. Her ability to inspire staff, volunteers, trustees and supporters alike fostered a culture of collaboration and shared purpose that continues to define the charity today.
Beyond her strategic accomplishments, Jess will be remembered by staff, volunteers, and trustees for her infectious positivity, steady leadership, and unwavering commitment to the charity’s mission.
The EIC team would like to thank Jess for all she has achieved and wish her every success in her future endeavours. The strong foundations she has helped build will continue to guide and strengthen the Charity as we move forward, ensuring our mission and commitment to the industry remain as strong as ever.
